Raindays...

So here we are, a rain day today... which means everything will be different, from when it is a sunny day. But....does it have to be depressing? NO!!!!!

Sometimes a rain day is just the best thing ever. I remember when I used to live in New Mexico, we hardly had any rain days.... every day is pretty much sunny. And then I remember the first rain day we had, it was awesome, I just wanted to curl up on the couch and watch tv, bake cakes and well cook other nice things.

Lets face it, when the sun is out we all have the urge to want to be outside the whole time, because who knows when the next sun day will come ( here in the Netherlands anyway). We go for walks on the beach, sit outside and read, go to the market, get a tan, we run, go cycle some nice bikeroute, and well I am sure you can think of many more wonderful things to do when the sun is out.

Now on a rainy day, everybody instantly gets depressed for some strange reason. But do we really need to be? I SAY NO. The following things can make you feel better; you can just curl up on the couch and put a girlymovie in the dvdplayer (something the partners will enjoy..), we can just drink lots of tea with biscuits while we are watching the movie, we can bake cakes (the smell always makes a house feel so warm a cosy), we can do some crocheting (sucks if you don't know how to, it is so relaxing), or maybe some cross-stitching or any other kind of crafts you feel like doing, don't forget to burn a couple of candles to complete the whole picture. It is the nice cosy warm picture that I am trying to create for you all. (maybe we shouldn't forget chocolate either).
Warm fussyness...oh boy how lovely....
