guilt!

Don't we feel guilty about pretty much everything we do? Like when we buy that pair of shoes that you really wanted and maybe even needed but really you don't have the money for them. Or when besides the regular food you eat during the day ( I have a set routine; breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, snack) you decide to eat some extra's like a piece of chocolate or candy or pretty much anything you can think of that really isn't healthy for you but oh so good?

See, I feel guilty about these simple things, I always wonder if it was absolutely necessary. I remember when I was in college not to long ago, I had a favorite store in Old Town ABQ. I would always go there and visit my Friend Jill who owned the place. Every once in a while she would have new stuff that I absolutely needed.... but couldn't afford, but didn't want to pass up on either, so I would end up buying it.... and please don't look as me as spender, because I am not I seldom buy stuff even back then..... I would go home be really happy about my purchases and then I would have to tell my Boyfriend, and that would always be the time where I would start feeling guilty. I could have used it for something that I probably really needed.

Here comes what I was getting at with this though, the fact that we feel guilty, means we are actually thinking about what we are buying, and with that we are lucky. Because if we wouldn't feel guilty we would just keep spending all the time and get ourselves into financial problems. And obviously you will start spending even more to forget that you are having these problems. SO I THINK IT IS GOOD THAT WE FEEL GUILTY, IT KEEPS US IN CHECK!
